Believe in the LORD Jesus, and you will be saved you and your household. (Acts 16:31, NIV)

The Bible explains many kinds of blessings. Above all, salvation is the most precious and indispensable one during our lives. In it, salvation is not merely saving from any danger or trouble but from God’s wrath. It is His judgment for our sin. We belong to the Lord and gain eternal life through salvation.

Acts 16:31 correctly tells us how to be saved. The apostle Paul was imprisoned while doing an evangelistic mission with his coworker Silas. While they were praying and singing in a cell, suddenly a big earthquake occurred, and the door of the cell opened. One jailer who witnessed it fell in fear before Paul and Silas and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you and your household will be saved.” There is no other way besides believing in Jesus to get salvation and eternal life.

It was also mentioned in John 3:36. The word also warns about not believing in Jesus. It says that whoever believes in the Son of God, Jesus, will have eternal life, but whoever rejects him will not get the eternal life but face the wrath of the Almighty Lord. Salvation means avoiding God’s judgment and gaining eternal life, which is possible only by belief in Jesus. No matter what and how much a person gains and enjoys in this world, if he does not get salvation, only God’s fearful judgment will wait for him. No one can avoid the wrath and judgment of the Lord.

Salvation is the only way to obtain the greatest blessing, the eternal life in the kingdom of heaven, which is the second section of the timeline in figure 11, only with His grace. God gives it to whoever believes in Jesus who was crucified and died for our sins.
